When I first held my grandson and looked into his beautiful eyes, I saw such wisdom and amazing peace—Then the grandmother in me, like I’m sure in all of you too, immediately wanted to shield him from every bad thing there is in the world. As I held him I pondered on this subject and started writing a few thoughts down that I wanted him to know from his grandma. And... Voilà, my Sunday message, was born too!

As I sing “Climb Every Mountain” I remember the challenge being Maria in the Sound of Music was. As difficult as things can be I know the Lord will never give any of us more challenges than we can handle because that’s His promise to us!

We are built to live life to the fullest. And that means having adventures and challenges to help us experience the “magic moments” in life.

My brother Jay sent me a quote yesterday and it inspired my Sunday Message. By putting down our de-“vices”😉 and reaching out to truly communicate to others we keep our eye focused on the “Son,” our true example!

I didn’t have therapists growing up to get through the pain of my abuse as a child and I never shared it with anyone till later in my life. My peace came from the example and unconditional love I received from my best friend, my Mom.

Yesterday I celebrated my wedding anniversary by simply being grateful. I don’t have a lot of flowery words for it, I am just so GRATEFUL.

When we pay attention to the Savior, He will let us know “what we can let go of.”
