05.06.18 Sunday Message

Been a little under the weather all week. Made be miss my Mom’s baked bread and chicken noodle soup! 🍞🍲 #ComfortFood

With her birthday on Friday and Mother’s Day around the corner, she has been on my mind a lot. Her great wisdom and strength have carried me throughout my life and I see her words manifesting into my own as I council my children and even grandchildren. Kind of cracks me up. 😂 The words of those that came before us teach us such powerful lessons. Mother always said, “People change but truth does not.” We need to stand for truth in this ever-changing world, where there are many voices trying to pull us in various directions—sometimes towards wherever the wind is blowing.

This Sunday, let us take to heart the lessons that we treasure. Many have been etched in our ♥️ from words of wisdom our parents offered in yesteryear, but the impressions still resonate today. My parents are my rock!

“Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock:  And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock.” (Matthew 7:24-25)

On this #Happy #Sunday ☺️ let us honor our ancestors by the lives we choose to live. I love you, Mother, and feel your warm embrace today. I love all of you too, my sweet friends! What words of wisdom can you share with all of us that have carried you through your life? 🤗💋
