OK, so who stayed up and watched? Well, I got up for Prince Charles and Diana‘s historic wedding in the Summer of ‘81 so I wasn’t about to miss Prince Harry’s! 😊 As I sat and watched this fairytale romance transpire, I wrapped myself in a warm blanket and in true royal fashion, I ate a breakfast of champions... chocolate ice-cream! 🍨 Well, you gotta do it once in a while on special occasions, right? 😆 I wonder if Meghan Markle ever dreamed of becoming a real-life princess? 👸🏻 What a Cinderella story! So, hats off now to the Duke & Duchess of Sussex, for giving us another enchanted royal wedding that will be long remembered. I loved the fact that the bride’s dress was elegantly simple! Dont you think it channeled Audrey Hepburn’s style? Her 16-foot veil was stunning. For me, it finished off everything perfectly! I’m sure you all have various opinions but wasn’t it so touching to see an unprecedented blend of British and American culture? My family’s heritage makes me want to sing🎤 I’m A Little Bit American and I’m A Little Bit British Isles (my Welsh side)! 😉🎶🤣 I found the royal couple to be a breath of fresh air, from their choices of the musical selections, to the equally inspired sermon by the Reverend Michael Bruce Curry. I was touched by his “L❤️VE” sermon, especially when he quoted Dr. Martin Luther King:

‘We must discover the power of love, the redemptive power of love, and when we do that, we will make of this old world a new world.’ 💜💚💙🧡💗💛

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s love brought old and new worlds together. The Reverend paraphrased a scripture in

Matthew, where Jesus said:

“Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. This is the first and great commandment.”  (Matthew 22:37-38)

My son, a modern-day Matthew, 😂 preaches this very doctrine everyday to the people of Michigan. He is serving a mission there and also teaches that we were created in His image, a simple principle that we are the children of a loving God, our Heavenly Father! I mean, if you really ponder, we ARE His sons and daughters, so we belong to Royalty—a righteous eternal heritage and a MIGHTY Royal Line. Like our Savior, the Son of God, our King’s Son, we inherited a royal birthright because we come from His divine heritage!

It was exciting because missionaries in our church are able call their mothers on Mother’s Day and I was thrilled to be able to Facetime my Matt on that day. After six months of not talking to my sweet Elder Plašil, 😊 it gave this Mama such joy to hear my son express how much he’s loving his mission and the people there. It’s heartwarming to see and hear of his growth, especially, his even stronger testimony of our loving Savior, Jesus Christ. What a beautiful Mother’s Day it was indeed! I felt like a Queen! 👑

Despite our differences, whether we are rich or poor, tall or short, privileged or underprivileged—we need to always remember that every one of us is worthy of His love and we are ALL part of the Royal Family of God. What a beautiful purpose this knowledge gives us, it motivates us to strive to become a better person every day and purposefully serve our brothers and sisters with joy in this life! After all, love conquers all! 😘💋

So enjoy this warm, Happy Sunday and for goodness sake, treat yourself to a Royal Sundae today!🍦🍨 🤣
